The CIPHR ERA chair leads the innovations in imaging concepts and signal processing and receives support through collaborations with Prof. Joseph Rosen, Ben Gurion University (imaging concepts and signal processing), and Prof. Andrew Forbes, WITS University, South Africa (imaging concepts).

The innovations in the area of advanced manufacturing is led by the ERA Chair holder with support through internal collaborations – Prof. Aile Tamm, Prof. Kaupo Kukli, University of Tartu, Estonia (manufacturing of optical modulators) and external collaborators – Prof. Saulius Juodkazis, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia (simulation and fabrication of optical modulators), Prof. Mangirdas Malinauskas, Dr. Darius Gailevičius and Prof. Dalia Kaskelyte  Vilnius University, Lithuania (fabrication of optical modulators), Prof. B. J. Jackin, Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan (fabrication of holographic optical elements), Prof. Etienne Brasselet, Bordeaux University, France (fabrication of optical modulators) and Prof. Rashid Ganeev and Dr. Naresh Kumar, University of Latvia (fabrication of optical modulators for higher harmonics).

The innovations in the area of artificial intelligence were led by senior researcher Dr. Amudhavel Jayavel which is supported by internal collaborations – Prof. Rajesh Sharma (deep learning) and Prof. Anbarjafari (deep learning).

The application of computational imaging techniques to biological imaging are supported by internal collaborations - Prof. Andres Salumets, Dr. Vijayachitra Modhukar, University of Tartu, Estonia and external collaborations Prof. Pierre Magistretti, and Dr. Vinoth Balasubramani KAUST, Saudi Arabia, medical surgeon Dr. Scott Arockia Singh from Dr. Scott’s Laser Piles and Fistula Laparoscopic Center, dental surgeon Dr. Milling Tania, Rajas Dental College and Hospital, India and medical doctor Dr. Zoltan Vilagosh, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.

The application to astronomical imaging is supported by Prof. Karl Glazebrook and Prof. Saulius Juodkazis, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia and Prof. Jon Lawrence, Macquarie University, Australia
